Rebecca Minkoff, the fashion house known for designing chic accessories with a hint of metro have been focusing some of their creative energy towards the wearable tech sector.
They recently announced a new line of wearables that are indistinguishable from traditional fashion accessories. The new Rebecca Minkoff wearables come in the form of an elegant gold chain-link notification bracelet with black pyramid studs, or a Lightning cable bracelet for syncing and charging your iPhone 5, 5C, 6 and 6 Plus.
The notification bracelet functions pretty much the same as most smart jewelry accessories. It uses Bluetooth to pair with its iPhone compatible app. When you receive an incoming call or text, the bracelet will gently buzz. Within the app you can program 25 of your VIP contacts, so if you’re in a “Do not disturb” situation, like a meeting or dinner with a client, you can rest assured that the notification is worth checking your smartphone for.
The notification bracelet is made from 100% Brass core with nickel-free plating, it comes with a 7.5″ wristband, and a single charge of the battery will last up to one month.
The Lightning bracelet converts into a USB connector to charge and sync your iPhone. It has a chic design with no visible geeky parts as the USB connector is hidden by the gold clasp.
Although wearable tech is becoming more of the norm every day, it still doesn’t suit many citizens to have gadgets visibly beetling from their sprigs, and possibly never will. Smart jewelry is the obvious remedy for satisfying fashion-forward people with one eye on the latest technology!
