Heddoko smart clothes track the movements of the wearer with a suite of sensors embedded into the fabric. Heddoko’s companion app then processes the data and a 3D model of the wearer is created providing real-time fitness coaching and feedback.

The wearer’s biometric data is sent to the cloud where it’s analysed. The data can then be accessed by real fitness trainers. As information is shared and compared in the cloud, users can also view the data of professional athletes using Heddoko and learn from their routines to be inspired.

Over time, Hedokko will develop a profile of its user to keep track of progress. It tracks stress levels to your joints and muscle fatigue providing a broad picture of how the user can avoid injury.

Smart fabrics like Heddoko are capable of surpassing the performance, and delivering a greater amount of data than fitness accessories such as wrist worn trackers. They haven’t really hit the mainstream yet, but there are several brands i.e Ralph Lauren, Xelflex, Gow, Hexoskin and OMsignal that are waiting backstage to make a big entry into the fitness consumer market.

At the moment it’s mostly pro athletes that are using smart fabrics to track their fitness data, mainly because of availability and high price, plus they are providing feedback for the manufacturers to prepare for the mainstream.
