The team behind Say Wearables are on a quest to satisfy the modern-day need for self-expression and social interaction. They have raised seed funding from executives at Google and Facebook and are getting ready to launch a Kickstarter campaign in October 2016.
Say Wearables combines hardware and software in a new and cool way to create a first-of-its-kind ecosystem which will allow individuals, brands, designers, consumers and whoever else to reach out and share through a mix of social media and wearable tech.

Say Media Social Network
Once you create your Say Media channel, you will be able to start growing your social presence and interacting with fans with content and messaging, plus, follow your favorite brands, talents, celebs, etc. Say will also be offering brands a new way to engage with consumers, with sponsored channels.
Wearable Technology
Say will be releasing co-branded wearable tech accessories, such as the Say Necklace which allows you to display, images, videos, designs – either your own or GIFs, vines, etc from around the web.
The Say app allows you to easily select content for different moods, occasions and latest trends and send it to your Say wearable. Say’s “Tribalize” feature allows you to hook up with teams, groups, and people and share your content.

Say Necklace
Say’s first wearable has an always-on color display to show off your media, and can be worn as a necklace, pin or badge. It uses Bluetooth to connect with your smartphone and has built-in tapping (double tap communication) and proximity sensors.
It measures 42mm x 32mm x 6.5mm. It has a battery life of around 3 days and is charged via Micro-USB.
The Say app is compatible with iOS and Android.

It didn’t get too far did it, can’t fault them for trying though.. I don’t think magentU built a social platform to go with the device like Say Wearables. They’ve apparently gained the interest of Google and Facebook, so somebody thinks they’re onto something.
Well, in my opinion we still have to see ppl are ready to pay $95 for social devices. Getting funds from facebook is one thing, but seems they got the fund from someone who is a former employee in fb, this is different. Say is a good enough idea that may stand for itself. Point is that quoting the idea as “the world’s first social wearable device’ isn’t true becauae there were other products years ago claiming the same – alike.io, magnetu and others. In any case, nice article buddy.
