The Misfit Phase Hybrid Smartwatch is Here and it's Very Cool

Another hybrid smartwatch, a.k.a. smart analog watch has landed in the headlines, this time from one of the original wearable technolgy makers, Misfit.

It’s called the Misfit Phase and brings all the essential connected features as well as looking like a classy timepiece.

Design

Misfit’s latest wearable comes in a variety of colors and a 41mm case made from stainless steel and satin aluminium. A versatile design allows you to easily to swap out the 20mm straps thanks to a simple button closure. The strap buckles are also versatile and can be swiftly changed thanks to a quick-release spring bar system.

Activity Tracking

The Misfit Phase keeps track of your steps taken, distance walked, calories burned, and sleep quality – light and deep stages, and sleep duration.

To switch from watch mode to activity tracking a button on the side of the case is pressed and the clock hands spin to show your activity goal progress. Frederique Constant has also adopted this method of showing fitness goals with their new smart analog watches.

The Misfit Phase also has a vibrating alarm which can used for reminders, getting out of the sack, movement reminders, or whatever else you do.

Smart Notifications

When connected via Bluetooth to your smartphone, the shiny Misfit will vibrate when you receive an incoming call, text message, email or app notification. In addition to the vibration, a small LED built into the display will blink different colors for different notification types.

Smart Button

The Misfit Phase is compatible with the Link app and features a Smart Button. This means you can use the watch to control your phone’s camera and music, plus all types of IoT devices such as smart lights around your connected home.

Waterproof

All of Misfit’s fitness trackers are water-resistant enough to take for a swim, and with a 5 ATM rating their debut hybrid smartwatch is no different.

Battery Life

The very cool Misfit Phase uses a replaceable coin cell battery that lasts up to 6 months and never needs charging.

App Compatibility

The Misfit App is compatible with iOS 7 + / Android 4.3 + / Windows 8.1 +. The Misfit Link app is compatible iOS 8.0 + / Android 4.3 + / Windows 10 +.
