It’s not too hard to compare the battery lives of all the Android Wear watches as they all fall somewhere between 1 and 2 days. Nevertheless, we’ve put this guide together and hope you can find the information you’re looking for..
Since it was announced back in March 2014, Android Wear has become the place to be for smartwatches, unless you’re an iPhone user of course. Android Wear is still a work in progress, the latest version 1.3 is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Android Wear smartwatches come with the Google Now voice assistant onboard, and thanks to the last 1.3 update most of them can now connect to wi-fi without being tethered to a smartphone. The update also brought other features such as interactive watch faces, emoji drawing and Google Translate. Also, Google released an app a few months ago that enables iPhone users to pair with Android Wear watches, although features are limited. Like any device, the battery life of a smartwatch depends on usage, such as screen brightness, wi-fi, GPS, etc.
These smartwatches are listed in chronological order based on the time of release – starting with the oldest..
Samsung Gear Live
We started the list with the Samsung Gear Live because along with the LG G Watch it was the first Android Wear smartwatch to be released. The Gear Live is the only Samsung smartwatch to date that runs the Android Wear operating system.

Sony Smartwatch 3 SWR50
The Sony Smartwatch 3 has a minimalist rectangular design which receives mixed opinions. Personally I’m a fan of rectangular watches and like how the SWR50 sits on my not overly thick wrist. The SWR50 is still the only Android Wear smartwatch to have an onboard GPS, and despite its screen not being quite as bright and beautiful as the others, it’s probably the most complete Android Wear smartwatch so far, and it won’t break your bank.

Moto 360 2
The Moto 360 2, or 2nd-gen comes in his and her sizes unlike the original. It was probably the most anticipated smartwatch of 2015, but it still has the “Flat Tyre”. The 360 2 brings some improvements over the original, such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor instead of the Texas Instruments OMAP 3 in the original, a better battery life, and the button on the side has been moved up a few degrees to a more logical pressing angle.
Also, coming soon to the Moto family is the GPS-enabled 360 Sport. It has a special reflective LCD display dubbed “Anylight” and brings GPS capability to outdoor activities so runners, cyclists, etc, make the most of popular apps such as Endomondo and RunKeeper.
We don’t have all the specs of the Moto 360 Sport yet, the same goes for the release date although word is it will be sometime before the end of 2015.

It turns out the price is lower than hype suggested despite its high quality build and premium look… Very nice smartwatch..

Asus ZenWatch 2
The Asus ZenWatch 2 features a power/crown button similar to the Apple Watch, and overall delivers a superior experience to the original ZenWatch. It also has a better battery life and confusingly a lower price. It comes in two sizes, each with a slightly different design. The men’s version is 49 x 41mm in size with a 22mm strap. The women’s version is 45 x 37mm with an 18mm strap. The slight design difference lies in the lug (part of the case that connects to the strap), where the men’s watch is more curved and slightly thicker. Also, the women’s model has a slightly thicker case at 10.4mm, the Men’s model is 9.4mm.

The Moto 360 Sport is a brawny version of the Moto 360 2nd-generation. It became the second GPS-enabled Android Wear smartwatch to be released, joining the Sony Smartwatch 3 SWR50. As well as an added GPS, the 360 Sport has a few other differences to its lifestyle inspired relative. It has a more robust build with a special stain-resistant, sweat-wicking, anti-fading UV coating. It has ventilation channels built into the sides to help keep cool. Also different to other Moto 360s is the strap – the Sport being an all-in-one unit so you can’t change it.
The Moto 360 Sport has a special LCD display designed for extra outdoor readability. The new AnyLight display automatically adapts to light conditions and reflects natural light to improve legibility. One thing the new display hasn’t improved on is the notorious Flat Tyre which still roosts the bottom.
