Altruis is a modular smart jewelry accessory with a fresh, chic design and brains behind the pretty face. Spearhead technology and cordial design from British designers Kovert combine to make Altruis a wearable with appeal.

Apart from looking good, the purpose of this jewelry accessory is to bring greater efficiency to your smartphone notifications. You can customize the notifications you receive with specific keywords, so you are only alerted about what’s important to you. The Altruis stone gently vibrates when you receive a call, text, email, or social alert.

The companion app enables you to create seperate profiles for occasions when your smartphone may be a no go, like in a meeting or at the dinner table. The app connects the Altruis stone to your smartphone via Bluetoooth, currently the app is only available for the iphone (from January 2015).

Altruis contains a sensors and a vibration module. The casing is made of the high quality ceramic Zirconia, the charging pins are housed around a base of polished plastic to keep the accessory moderately water-resistant.

The rechargeable battery lasts for 2-3 weeks between charges depending on use, it’s charged via USB which aptly connects to the stone magnetically.

As it’s modular, the Altruis smart jewelry accessory can be worn as a bracelet, necklace or ring, so you can interchange the same stone between the different pieces to suit different moods. It comes in a choice of three colors, Platinum Black, Gold or Rose Gold.
