A Tommy Hilfiger Android Wear smartwatch, plus AW offerings from Hugo Boss and Movado are inbound in 2017..

A selection of Movado smart analog watches using both HP and MMT technology are already available. The latest news is that Movado Group’s next move will be the release of a collection of fully fledged smartwatches running Android Wear.

Tommy Hilfiger and Hugo Boss, two brands in the Movado Group portfolio, will be launching Android Wear smartwatches in Fall 2017 as part of the new collection. Movado’s own branded AW smartwatches will launch as the Movado Connect collection. They are designed specifically for Android Wear 2.0 and will also be available in Fall 2017. No images are currently available for any of the watches, but they will be unveiled at Baselworld which starts on March 23.

The Movado Connect collection consists of five men’s watches with a starting price of $495 available in the U.S, UK, Canada and Caribbean. It’s not clear how much the Hugo Boss and Tommy Hilfiger Android watches will cost, but it will likely be in the same kind of range.

Specs remain behind tight lips, although we know the watches will feature Android Pay, so they will be NFC-enabled, plus offer the delights that come with Android Wear, such as complications, Google Assistant, and thousands of apps from fitness tracking to Uber. Five specially designed watch faces based on some of Movado’s classic Museum watches will also be included.
