Solar-powered glasses could potentially fuel peripherals such as Bluetooth interfaces and wearable sensors thanks to research into organic solar cells built into lenses.
The German researchers behind the project say users won’t notice the difference between the solar cell lenses and regular sunglasses. Organic solar cells are more flexible than their silicon counterparts and can be designed in different shapes and colors.
