Recon Jet smartglasses by Recon Instruments with their slick and sporty design are shaping up to become one of the industry leaders when they get released. They come in 2 colors, black and white and have high quality polarized lenses. The changeable Battery mounted on the side is a little bulky but in a Terminator 2 kind of way it compliments the cool shape of the glasses.
Recon Jet smartglasses are well geared up for athletes, cyclists, runners and other sporty types. They have a built-in microcomputer, a widescreen high-resolution display, GPS, Wi Fi, HD camera and video recording. They provide performance tracking with real-time metrics such as distance, duration, speed and heart rate. These smartglasses don’t stop with athletes, when they are paired with a smartphone you can use social and other apps making them a wearable solution to your daily computing activities.
Some of the features of Recon Jet smartglasses are a 3D gyroscope, 3D magnetometer, Pressure Sensor, Altimeter & Barometer Application and a Temperature Sensor. Their Optical Touch Sensor control interface works in all-weather conditions and with gloves.
More specs include 1GB of RAM, 8GB Flash Storage, Dual-Core ARM Cortex-A9 Processor, Bluetooth 4.0 Connectivity, Apple MFi Bluetooth support, Micro USB Charger and built-in speaker and microphone.
The high contrast widescreen display works well in bright light and has the appearance of a 30 inch screen at 7 feet away.
Recon Jet are on track for release in the first quarter of 2015. They can be pre-ordered now for $599 (£365), after their releases they will go up in price to $699 (£426)
