Martian make some of the best looking smartwatches around, mixing traditional analog styling with up to date technology. We visited the Martian stand at the London Wearable Technology show back in March and weren’t disappointed with what was on show.
Martian have been making smartwatches since the beginning of the wearables boom. Recently they announced four new voice command smart analog numbers: the Envoy G10, Aviator B10, Alpha T10, Electra E10 and S10.
The new Martian Voice Command smartwatch collection is as smart on the inside as on the outside. All the models are equipped with award-winning technology, including Martian’s Dual Mode functionality which offers voice command functions via Classic Bluetooth at the same time as using Bluetooth LE to deliver hands-free notifications from your favorite apps.
To ensure durability they are made from stainless steel and resin composite with a strengthened anti-scratch crystal to protect the display. They are water-resistant and utilize Japanese Quartz movement to ensure precision. The new smartwatches come with a Genuine Leather, Silicone, or Resin strap, each with a stainless steel clasp.
You can communicate to the smartwatch totally hands free, hence the name “Voice Command”. This means hands-free texting, and taking and making calls. Speak Siri or Android voice commands, but unlike most smartwatches you’ll get a spoken reply.
Along with text, email, calls and social notifications, the smartwatch features music control (iOS only), camera control, Phone Finder, weather reports, dual time zones and more.
Other features include a 96 x 16 pixel graphic OLED display, 3-Axis Accelerometer to take care of your activity tracking needs, adjustable vibrating motor, noise-cancellation microphone and a directional speaker.
The Smartwatches have two batteries, one analogue watch battery that lasts up to two years, and a lithium polymer battery that lasts up to five days and takes two hours to charge via Micro-USB.
These extra slick smartwatches are compatible with iOS (iPhone 4S or later), and Android 2.3.3 or higher.
We contacted Martian about about the release date: “At this moment we are in the final steps before releasing our 2015 collection, which will be available online at martianwatches.com for purchase early September (within a week or two).
