The Ravean heated jacket is back for another funding round on Kickstarter.
Ravean have raised over $116k so far, with the campaign still having 40 days left to run. Ravean’s previous Kickstarter campaign saw their heated jacket raise over $1.33 million.
The high-tech jackets are designed to lightweight, comfortable and suitable for all seasons. There are endless scenarios when the heating mechanism could come in handy, such hiking, camping, fishing, looking for the Yeti, and whatever else you do.
Ravean are offering a few different versions of their heated apparel, including a hoodie. The most powerful option is the Ravean 12V C6 heated jacket which is comfortable in temperatures ranging from -4F to 55F.
Built to keep the cold out and keep the heat in, the C6 system enables you to adjust which area of your body needs to be warmed the most. It allows you to switch from body, gloves, and pockets, or all the parts can work simultaneously. There are high, medium, and low heating settings. Setting the jacket to high can keep you warm in temperatures as low as -4F (-20c).
Depending on which setting, the jackets can provide around 3.1 to 9.4 hours of warmth. The C6 jacket uses a 12V battery that can be charged in around 1.5 hours. In addition to getting you warm, the C6 jacket also charges your mobile up to 6 times.
If you happen to encounter rainfall during your chilly outdoor excursions, the Ravean Jacket won’t mind, as it’s water-resistant. Furthermore, the heating system gives the jacket self-drying capabilities; simply turn up the heat and it will be bone dry in no time.
The wearable technology sector has gone fitness tracking mad; so it’s good to write about something that doesn’t count your steps and calories, for a change. Cheers Ravean..
