The Lenz Heated Socks are great for stopping your toes from falling off in Arctic conditions! In other words they’re designed for all winter sports and outdoor activities that tend to bite the lower limb.
If you’re skiing, hiking, fishing, sailing etc, the first part of your body to get gnawed on by the frost are your feet, and it can often get the better of your psyche and ruin your time on the slopes or your outdoor adventure. Obviously, heated socks are the answer! The Lenz socks aren’t exactly cheap, but they can make your outdoor trips a lot more comfortable.
The socks have been ergonomically knitted, and are made from 49% nylon, 29% polyamide, 10% polypropylene, 2% merinowool and 5% elastane. They come with an additional shin protector, extra padding on exposed areas, ring bandages for optimum foot support, and they are designed to allow for optimal moisture transportation. These 21st century socks are machine washable at 30°C.
The heat is concentrated on the toe region and balls of the foot, which are the areas which tend to get the coldest. The socks are powered by a lithium battery pack which is easily attached with press studs on the upper-sock legband.
There are 3 balanced heat settings to choose from, all of which have been carefully assigned to provide the correct amount of heat for certain conditions, and not get too hot.
The socks provide up to 14 hours of heat from a single charge. They do warm up quickly, so don’t switch them on until you need to.
The socks are controlled with your smartphone through the Lenz Heat app which connects via Bluetooth 4.0. The App is compatible with Android 4.3 and higher, and iOS 7.0 and higher.
